Why do some religious people dislike non-religious people?

Definition of fact: "a thing that is known or proved to be true"

We generally don't consider something only a portion of the populace knows to be true to be fact. Otherwise I could just as easily say that it is a fact that any given religion (for the sake of argument here we'll use Baha'i) is definitely true.

And no one has offered proof that religion = indoctrination.

Definition of indoctrinate: "teach (a person or group) to accept a set of beliefs uncritically"

When you force children, who do not yet have the mental development to think critically, to accept whatever religion you are pushing as true, it is a fact. Most believers were indoctrinated as a minor.

Question for you PP: if you teach your children that there is no God, are you indoctrinating them? They can't think critically about that statement.

Religion is indoctrinating period.
Not believing in God is science reality

The fact that you can't see that you are uncritically pushing the bolded is mindblowing.

There is no scientific proof for the lack of God, just as there is no scientific proof for God. You made a category error.

If you're using a category error to teach children, then aren't you teaching them to accept that belief uncritically?

Sounds like you either heard that from another religious figure in your life or you made it up. Either way, it's not accurate.

It is fascinating to me that some people think this way. I would have thought it common knowledge that many things are true but not provable. Heck, any tenth grader knows that the geometry curriculum is littered with postulates precisely because proofs require certain propositions that are true but incapable of truth.

The notion that everything true can be or has been revealed to humanity by science is a false religion.

But God is true? and your particular religion is the true one? and religions that believe in other things, or other gods are not, right? and people who don't believe in any Gods are wrong? How would you know such a thing?

You want to believe - fine. Many people don't. That's fine too.
