Religion is indoctrinating period. Not believing in God is science reality |
No, it’s not indoctrination. teaching somebody stories that conflct with other stories is indoctrination |
The fact that you can't see that you are uncritically pushing the bolded is mindblowing. There is no scientific proof for the lack of God, just as there is no scientific proof for God. You made a category error. If you're using a category error to teach children, then aren't you teaching them to accept that belief uncritically? |
There is also no scientific proof for God. You make a category error. There is also no scientific proof for the Tooth fairy or Santa Claus. Do you believe in them, too? There is no scientific proof for any religious beings or fairy tale figures. |
Sounds like you either heard that from another religious figure in your life or you made it up. Either way, it's not accurate. |
What does "that" refer to? |
"There is no scientific proof for the lack of God, just as there is no scientific proof for God." DP |
Many well known scientific theories are not proven. Do you still believe in them? |
1. Name them 2. Yes, I believe them, because every theory I know of has been proven. |
Wanna know how I know you don’t understand science? |
Just about any scientific theory. Scientific theories are not "proven". They are either accepted or rejected, based on available evidence. |
And all the ones that are accepted are Based on scientific evidence |
That's what I said. However, acceptance of a theory does not mean that it has been "proven". |
It is fascinating to me that some people think this way. I would have thought it common knowledge that many things are true but not provable. Heck, any tenth grader knows that the geometry curriculum is littered with postulates precisely because proofs require certain propositions that are true but incapable of truth. The notion that everything true can be or has been revealed to humanity by science is a false religion. |
But God is true? and your particular religion is the true one? and religions that believe in other things, or other gods are not, right? and people who don't believe in any Gods are wrong? How would you know such a thing? You want to believe - fine. Many people don't. That's fine too. |
