I support Hegseth and think he's the best SecDef we've had in a long time. Recruitment numbers had reached crisis levels during the Biden administration. In 2022, the US had the lowest number of recruits in the history of the all-volunteer force. Literally no one wanted to be in Biden's Army. Now recruitment is skyrocketing.

Hegseth is making needed changes. He is directly tackling the weaponization of the employee complaint process. He is standardizing physical fitness requirements so that we can be sure everyone in the job is actually qualified to do it. He is inviting back the soldiers that were kicked out due to covid.

Recruitment is a huge problem for federal agencies in general. You're chalking that up to Biden? Recruitment has been falliing everywhere because no one wanted to work for the USDA, FEMA, IRS, etc. When Trump got shot, the secret service had to hire local police because they had 600 open agent spots. At least military service gets glorified, while every federal employee gets called corrupt, incompetent, and 'evil' on a daily basis by conservative politicians -- while being paid below-market salaries.

But go ahead. Put your pro-Trump stuff all over the internet. You are on the wrong side of history, and every one of your descendants will see the digital trail you left supporting this authoritarian regime. They will know and be rightly ashamed of you.

Recruitment in federal government is going to be a huge issue with all of vicious lies, smears and trashtalking of federal employees, calling them moochers, lazy, accusing them of waste, fraud and abuse, and so on.

Recruitment in federal government is going to be a huge issue with the pointless Return to Office policies, which was supposed to make federal employees more productive, effective, collaborative. They ALREADY WERE doing their work, they ALREADY WERE productive, effective, and collaborative. Now they are doing it more tired and stressed out, dealing with pointless artificially-created traffic congestion on their commute, spending more time away from their families, and so on.

Recruitment in federal government is going to be a huge issue when people learn about this idiotic DOGE crap and lies about "rampant waste and fraud" claiming they could find $2 trillion (but only came up with $150 billion, the overwhelming majority of which wasn't even fraud or waste, it was just stuff they didn't like or didn't understand), and the pointless added bureaucracy, delays and inefficient garbage of now having to jump through hoops of having DOGE review every funding request, and all of the other pointless nonsense that is accomplishing absolutely nothing of value.

Recruitment in federal government is going to be a huge issue as all of its processes and systems start to break down because of the incompetent, dysfunctional way this administration is running things.

Recruitment in federal government is going to be a huge issue when you censor the accomplishments of blacks, of women, of anyone who isn't straight, white, Christian and male.

I have a college-age child who, along with classmates, had been scouring USAJobs looking for a good federal job. Now, they all have an attitude of "hell no" and want nothing to do with federal government because of Trump. Instead my child is looking at grad school.

I have a 2026 college grad who could easily get a security clearance with an unusual skillset, including fluency is a foreign language that national security agencies and the military desperately need. She was being actively recruited by civilian DOD earlier this school year. Was considering civilian DOD, NSA (probably not CIA for reasons) and State. She is now looking at think tanks, contractors, private business or going grad school and waiting (she’ll eventually do grad school, but wanted to work first). I’m a Fed and see how fast things became completely unworkable. She wants not part of it. And I wouldn’t encourage her to apply, if they were firing.

Oh, so your'e a let me drink and rape and whatever I want type because I'm so strong. GTF out.

You and Hegseth are an embarrassment. Hegseth is going to put our soldiers in danger with his incompetence.

What?! I'm a woman. Women do not commonly rape men in the military and frankly, they don't really need to given the ratios. I don't understand why you have to automatically assume that anyone who has a different opinion than you is a rapist.

There is nothing short of 30% unemployment for 10 years that will break their belief in Trump.

This is not true. Vets know how important those relationships are to mission success and are pissed that we would abandon people who risked their lives to help us. I suspect you are either making this up or reading posts from people who just pretend to be vets on their keyboard.

Or it is a joke.

Speaking of jokes, what professional soldier could be happy reporting to Hegseth? What fighter pilot wants to trust his attack plan to that TV personality?

+1
Kid set to graduate in 2027 doubling in two engineering degrees. Was willing to work in government just to live with me in NOVA and save money for a house. Now, nope. Grad school or private industry job.

DP. Hegseth clearly thinks that rape and sexual assault victims who make accusations are all just liars and troublemakers, and wants to stop anyone from making accusations. Sadly nothing about stopping the actual rapes and sexual assaults. Just get rid of women, nothing wrong with mens' bad behavior, it's the fault of women being present. Are you fine with all of that?

And they are going after VA services and slashing benefits for those who served their country. It's a disgrace. A slap in the face of every veteran.

No, they are not. Except maybe the ones arrested in the TDA nightclub in Colorado.
