Or, put in charge of the military a completely unqualified person. |
Many also know what true leadership looks like! And, what getting in and ransacking and looting looks like! My Dad and uncles all vets are appalled by Trump. |
Ha! Ok dude. |
That too! And they know they’d be fired for bringing their wives to meetings. And they’d get passed over for promotions if they had a drinking problem. |
Us too.. “Mission critical” for us Is a bunch of subject matter experts and attorneys for us. Not the Admin side that is more heavily vets. They’re taking steep cuts. |
Vets are not a monolith.
For every intelligent and aware veteran who understands how incompetent Trump is as a Commander in Chief, who understands the incredible damage cavalier attitudes towards classified information can cause, who understands geopolitics and the strategic implications of ceding intelligence to Russia and economics to China, there is one (or sadly more) mouth breather who signed up to kill ragheads (and ironically maybe never deployed) who supports everything the administration is doing. The bottom of the military industrial complex pyramid is built on uneducated people with no better options who sign up for free tuition and 0% down mortgages and unfortunately many of them either never take advantage of the former or do and let the actual education part pass over them. |
PP clearly loves to stereotype. |
The VA has been decimated. Vets are going to care as word gets around that Don and his musky-boy destroyed their healthcare and benefits. On top of that Hegseth is killing love for Trump among active military. That pansy ass drunk just installed a make-up studio in the Pentagon and has put their guys in danger with his stupid show-off neediness to trumpet highly secret intell on signal.
When the disgust for Trump 2.0 among rank n file military becomes public it’s going to be ugly. |
“If you had served you would know what vets think”. Because all vets think the same? This is an incredibly patronizing statement. |
It is, and it’s wrong. I am not in the military but I work for the military and there are plenty of current warfighters that hate Trump. |
Vet here. You wouldn't know this from the thread, but vets and military skew conservative. Conservatives generally support Trump.
I support Hegseth and think he's the best SecDef we've had in a long time. Recruitment numbers had reached crisis levels during the Biden administration. In 2022, the US had the lowest number of recruits in the history of the all-volunteer force. Literally no one wanted to be in Biden's Army. Now recruitment is skyrocketing. Hegseth is making needed changes. He is directly tackling the weaponization of the employee complaint process. He is standardizing physical fitness requirements so that we can be sure everyone in the job is actually qualified to do it. He is inviting back the soldiers that were kicked out due to covid. |
This view to me is how the stereotypical military guy views Trump and his cabinet. They want to see themselves as the strongest. No matter that the physical fitness test is less important for many jobs and our security. Security goes way beyond fitness tests these days but talking to them you'f never know. They want to believe they are the best especially physically. And Trump and his cabinet play into this desire. |
And lol on weaponizing the complaint process. There are still so many assaults that don't go reported or get dismissed. But these guys would rather not get in trouble for their bad behavior. |
Recruitment numbers have been going up for awhile. They were up 12.5% in 2024 over 2023, when Biden was still president. Much of the prior dropoff was due to Covid, low unemployment, and stiff competition from the private sector. As for Hegseth, he’s an unqualified disaster. His poor judgment, security breaches, and divisive rhetoric put lives at risk. |
That’s such a huge red flag when someone is laser focused on punishing accusers and not perpetrators. They’re providing cover. |
