But it’s totally on-brand for Dems

Y'all sound scared. You should be. Van Hollen is class and his efforts to defend due process are essential, honorable and totally on brand.

You know who’s scared? People who want the democrats to put up a viable candidate that we can vote for.

This talk of nominating someone just because they’re advocating for an illegal immigrant is exactly how Democrats lose to someone as horrific as Donald Trump.

Lol... you're another person with a memory that doesn't date back to 2020. Trump and his 40% approval rating will deliver Democrats election victories in 2026 and 2028. If you were alive and paying attention during Trump's 1st term, you'll recall Trump delivering big beautiful election victories to Dems in 2018 and 2020. Trump is the same unpopular chaotic POTUS he was during his 1st term. Dems no long longer have the Biden dark cloud over their heads.

Big time advantage goes to Dems in upcoming elections as long as Trump is the sitting POTUS.

No, he certainly did not. What planet did you just come from? Why do you think there's even this thread?

We need more MS13 members in America, doing the crime Americans won’t do themselves. And Dems are going to see to it that we stop deporting gang members that came here illegally.

Dems care.

(About MS13)

I don’t wanna derail this thread even though I think it’s a ridiculous thread because not every time a Democrat does something good do they need to run for president.

this has nothing to do with immigration. This has to do with us as a country. do we believe in due process or not. Read the constitution and if you don’t agree with it, fine. But the constitution clearly says all persons have due process.

I'm one of his constituents and this is definitely not the only reason to nominate him. He's a great, responsive senator who truly cares about public service.

He's a decent guy but too old.

And no matter how right he is on due process, Presidential elections are decided by monkey-brain vibes not respect for the rule of law.

Even Trump has to pretend be Christian to win.

You have to win over a big chunk of racists if you want to win an election.

He really cares about the mother of 5 that was killed by an illegal immigrant in MD and it shows.

Did Trump care about the 4 servicemen who died in Lithuania recently? He was not present when their bodies arrived back in the US. He was golfing that day.

He has absolutely zero chance because he voted against sending arms to Israel and was calling the Gaza situation a genocide. If you don't pledge full 100% allegiance to the United States of Israel then good luck.

Trump golfing instead of paying respects to fallen soldiers. Biden not giving a dang about someone who was viciously murdered by a guy who was in border control custody three times before being released into the states. These are the two most recent leaders of the free world.

Slow clap for the idiotic American voters.

Typical playbook, can’t defend the guy this thread is about, start saying "what about Trump". It’s sad.

This "guy" is just silly Senator. Trump is the worst POTUS in our history. Big difference.

I hope you apply that same standard to MAGA efforts to conflate the case of Abrego Garcia with that of the man who viciously murdered Rachel Morin.

Exactly. There are unfortunately millions of wife beaters in the world; not very many murdering rapists. Not the same.
