Lines around the blocks for the Trader Joe’s Mini Tote Bag .. did you wait in line? get one? Do you want one?

Anonymous
There were a lot at my TJs the other day. I thought they were silly. Who needs another canvas bag?

I saw them a few days ago. No lines, no craziness. I didn’t get any, but they are very cute. I think they’d make great Easter baskets and gift bags.
I do admit to seeking out the large insulated tote in particular colors. I use one as a beach bag, another one for picnics, and another one for actual grocery shopping.

Why? They’re ugly.

Or you can buy a real lunch box with speed racers on it?

I like them and may get one eventually but I'm racing out to TJs to get one right now.

They do make a lunch box sized zipper one, but apparently that’s not popular.

My two year old wanted one today, apparently we should have stocked up! Silver springs TJ had plenty and no lines.

Maybe you mean you’re not?

I have a bunch of the small freezer ones.

I didn't buy the Easter ones. Kind of regretting that.

They are limited edition, so that drives demand as well.

Limited edition???

Tell me you dropped out of school by 9th grade without telling me...

This is similar to the stanley cup insanity. There is no reason to go crazy over this crappy stuff.

I make my own decorated store bags and they are beautiful. I had people in craft stores ask me to make the for them to sell. I don't do it because it takes too long to do them right and also because I saw HomeGoods had beautiful lined and zippered bags that were only $10 or so.

This! Someone is selling them on NextDoor for $25- jeez ladies, get a life!

I prefer totes that have a message or are funny. The TJ's ones don't have much character. At least go with a vintage New Yorker tote.

I guess I understand being willing to pay $25 if you want them for Easter, but anyone willing to pay $1000 is seriously stupid.
