Lines around the blocks for the Trader Joe’s Mini Tote Bag .. did you wait in line? get one? Do you want one?

There seemed to be a lot of spring grinches here. I think they are cute and a little taste of spring in what is otherwise a fairly bleak time.

I'm not a "spring Grinch".

If I could just casually go into a store and pick one up I probably would. But I'm not going to stand in line or buy one for an inflated price on reseller sites.

I have plenty of similar TJs tote bags at home that I bought before they went viral.

They are limited edition, so that drives demand as well.

OK, but are they cute enough to line up around the block for?

I mean, I have a million branded canvas bags that I've accummulated over the years. Why do I need a Trader Joe's bag? I just don't see the appeal.

It just shows how bad things are in the economy. Thanks Trump!

People are reselling online for up to $1000. The bags cost $2.99. This is crazy to read!

Seems like a publicity stunt.

They didn't have the purple ones where I am but they had plenty of the other colors so I grabbed some for Easter baskets. Maybe they'll replace the Lululemon bags my teens have been schlepping their lunches in.

There were plenty at the Old Town TJs yesterday and most people seemed pretty oblivious to them.

They’re kinda cute, but I need more tote bags like I need a hole in the head.

Haha, once I stopped shopping at TJ, my grocery bill decreased. You do realize all of the stuff at TJ, especially the organic one, is made by the same large corporations that make store brands for the other supermarkets as well. At lower prices. Remove the "coolness" façade and it is just another food pusher. Owned by the Aldi parent company as well. Said by someone who split with TJ after 18 years relationship.

Went to Trader Joe’s today. They had them out. No one was buying them. No real line for anything really.

Aldi and Trader Joe’s are not owned by the same parent company.

I was at Trader Joe's on Saturday and they had plenty in stock. I think they're cute and let my preschooler pick one out. I had no idea there was pandemonium over them until after I went.

The craziness seems mostly to come from CA and a few other areas.

Picked up 3 sets to give out to my nieces and kid’s friends.
