Or twice. Once to start and a finisher after washing

They have a 15 minute time limit. Before this, they would shower for an hour. It's a whole concert in there!

Plus time limits cut down on sinfulness.

Michelle Duggar, is that you?

I did this too and it works

We’ve tried installing better fans, reminding them to put on the fan, asking them to not take as long but nothing seems to work. DH yells a lot about the state of the bathroom. I get aggravated too. One is leaving for college in a year and we will remodel when they both go to college.

So no real good advice here.

Get an electrician to wire the fan to the light switch.

We upgraded to a tankless water heater and the plumber said it'll never run out of hot water when you shower... unless it's a teenage girl as they take forever.

It’s hilarious how many of you moms don’t realize your kid is jerking jt several times in the shower. They are figuring out how things work down there. Leave them alone.

Boys.... are not using soap in there.... especially when "destressing". OP....

He's definitely using soap . . . just not primarily to get clean.

Not possible to thoroughly get clean in 5 min, unless they are racing and using a high-flow shower head.

This is the dumbest comment on this thread, and that's a high bar.

Another kid with ADHD that takes crazy long showers here. I guess we aren't alone! One thing DS has been doing lately is taking baths instead (he even got a bath pillow). I do think he enjoys the relaxing side of that and once he's run the bath he's welcome to stay in however long, at least it's not wasting water. I will however have him turn off the shower if it's been more than around 20 minutes, I seriously think he forgets he's even in there.

I’m embarrassed that you posted this. You know what he’s doing in there right?

I honestly don’t think OP knows.

And also decreases boys’ sinfulness.
