| He says he needs it for destressing! I'm not sure if he's using soap. I told him he'll have to start paying for part of the water bill and kids in college will crucify him if he takes up all the shower time and hot water. Curious, I was always and in and out of the shower person. |

My daughter takes very long showers, she has ADHD.
Boys.... are not using soap in there.... especially when "destressing". OP.... |
| That's too long and a ridiculous waste of water. My kids usually take no more than 10 minutes beginning to end and that includes turning off the shower to soap up. |
| Leave him alone. |
| My 12 -year-old son could shower for an hour if I let him... We try to cap it at 20 minutes on weekends and 10 minutes on weeknights... He showers around five times a week due to sports |
| 10--15 tops. |
| Uh, he's doing other things besides showering, and that's ok. Maybe buy him a low-flow shower head |
| 5-10 mins. I'm not about wasting water. |
| My DD with ADHD will stay in there for hours if we let her. She likes relaxing and combing her hair. My 12yo DS is pretty efficient--maybe 10-15 minutes most days. Some days it seems closer to 20-25 minutes and I usually let it go. If that happened every time, I'd say something but it's somewhat infrequent. |
| My son has always loved long baths and long showers. I don't think he's doing anything else in the shower other than standing there listening to his music. |
|
How old is your kid OP?
Mine is 15 and takes long showers. Unlike the PP I do not think he is standing there listening to music the whole time but that is a cute fantasy. |
Ummm no 12 year old boy should be showering only 5 times a week. For the sake of his classmates and teachers, at least daily, more if extra sports |
| He's got a date with Jill iykyk |
| I had to get an old school kitchen timer so my kid wouldn’t stay in the shower for 30+ min |
| 30+ minutes |
