He is a US citizen that was born in the US and he has never lived in Japan. I would also be pissed about being put in a concentration camp by my own government too if it were me. He doesn’t need to comment on the actions of another country he has never lived in just because his parents are Japanese. |
He is an American (with Japanese Ancestry) and I highly doubt that you would be making this comment if he were an American (with European Ancestry). You would even have this thought and say that an Italian American is glossing over the atrocities of Mussolini. |
