Wow, you’re really reaching, aren’t you? In case you forgot, America—or at least the idea of America— is not Japan or Germany. We are supposed to be better than that, better than how the Germans and Japanese treated their prisoners.

I would like you point out where in the law it says they temporary visa holders get their day in court? Do you see the evidence in every case?

I am proffering that this is entirely legal (tasteless and risky yet legal.)

He is a US citizen that was born in the US and he has never lived in Japan. I would also be pissed about being put in a concentration camp by my own government too if it were me. He doesn’t need to comment on the actions of another country he has never lived in just because his parents are Japanese.

"No person shall...be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law..."
 
Fourteenth Amendment:
"nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law..."


The Supreme Court has consistently held that the protections of these amendments apply to all people within the borders of the United States, regardless of their immigration status.  

For example, Plyler v. Doe (1982):
Supreme Court ruled that undocumented children have the right to a free public education. Highlights the broader principle that undocumented individuals are entitled to constitutional protections.  
Quotes: "The Fourteenth Amendment provides that no State shall 'deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.'"  

and

"the benefits of this provision are extended to all persons within the State's territorial limits."

You don't get how advertising that crime doesn't pay could make a country appealing?

And what's in it for them sees to be a suddenly functional country. Despite all the complaints from the usual suspects the country is actually nice to live in for the first time in generations.


It always starts out that way, but then, someone doesn’t want to give up power, martial law, curtailing of rights for all but a few and things quickly slide downwards for all.

Your mistake is MAGA doesn’t think “those people” are human. They’ve been brainwashed by Trump, Miller, Musk, and Homan into thinking they’re all subhuman. I’m sure we will hear about gas chambers at one point in the near future. Congress, of course, co-signs with their silence.
