Right, that is what kids want and need in a Student Center - architectural accolades. I am not sure what your beef is about this school, but your posts are increasingly bizarre. |
Yet, others are claiming it's some architectural marvel...maybe read the forum before jumping to the last comment next time. |
My kid is a freshman and she loves it - her classmates seem very collaborative. She is always studying with friends, doing review sessions in groups, going to office hours. And she is involved in many extra curricular activities. While she is working hard, she seems less stressed out than she was in high school! |
| I was lucky to attend a peer liberal arts college. It's a respectable school, but the rural nature would've drastically harmed my college experience and professional development in college. I think it's a great choice to delay for 4 years in the most intensive academic environment possible. |
Please point me to the comment calling it an "architectural marvel." I'll wait. I saw folks complimenting it as a student center - yes, sure, you were there as well dissing it many times - but the only comment I saw re aesthetics was the "Adirondack-style" one and, having been inside Paresky, I understand that allusion. But I would love to know where your opinion of the school comes from, since you do not seem to know very much about it. |
You seem a bit mentally unstable. It's a student center, not the Guggenheim. The inability to take criticism isn't concerning. You've developed a parasocial relationship with a college. |
anyone who has toured Williams has seen this student center. I'm not this person, but I've seen it and it's blah. There's a lot to like about Williams but the student center .. cmon. it's very blah. |
| Ok, clearly the Williams-hater troll (who is probably one of general SLAC trolls too) is off the rails and probably 50% of the posts on this thread. Best for the rest of us to move on. Have a great day! |
| It’s just if you can’t be honest about a student center or food - who cares! - then when we can’t trust your opinion about real stuff |
This seems like an exercise in passive-aggressive babbling. |
| This thread was created for no reason and is now populated by boosters and trolls. |
| Since I posted favorably earlier about the Paresky Center, I should clarify. I like its interior a lot and appreciate its position near the center of campus; I'm not impressed by the aesthetics of its exterior. |
| It is one building. Big deal. Duke is one of the most beautiful schools in America and has a hideous student center. This is not a reason to attend a school. |
| The best LAC |
[b] and it's $92,250 a year x 4. You could have mentioned that upfront. https://www.williams.edu/admission-aid/financial-aid/cost-and-aid/ |
