Williams grad. On this forum, I’ve learned the following negative about my alma mater:
1. Too many athletes 2. Bad for ED if unhooked 3. Williamstown is too remote 4. Too many I-banking types 5. Too cold 6. Less friendly Here’s the good: 1. Cool mascot 2. The mountains 3. The library 4. Fun rivalry with Amherst 5. Personal attention |
| LAC-related posts are taking over this forum. It’s really bizarre. At one point today the first six posts were all LAC ones. |
It isn’t strange when you consider they just released RD decisions. |
+1 Not to worry, it will all be Sturm and Drang about Ivy admissions come Thursday. The LAC threads will quickly be eclipsed, trust. |
| I really like the library. It’s got a beautiful mix of old and new. The chapel is also quite nice. |
| What exactly is the purpose of this post. |
|
Your list of bad outweighs your list of good by a decent margin.
Was that your intent? |
| The Clark is my favorite art museum and I am not really an art lover. Incredible collection that is the perfect size. |

Love it too. Only problem is how to get in!
Last year in our school, Williams: Cornell is 3:7. Williams took fewer students. |
| Williams has roughly 500 kids in an incoming class. When you account for athletes, legacies, minorities, etc., there are very, very few seats left for everyone else. |
| Id add housing and food. The housing is very poor quality and needs to get renovated. The food is borderline inedible some days. |
This doesn’t seem to be a common complaint. |
These matter! |

I visited the campus for the first time and really liked it. I had ruled it out in high school because a rival loved it so much and got in who was obnoxious. However, he didn't end up going.
I wished I had considered it more. |
Maybe on here. On campus, it’s a very common complaint. Willy hall is a nightmare and borderline fire hazard. |
