This is a frivolous indulgence, at best, and more likely a weak media stunt to try to soften the impact of the trip being a political push in the first place.

We have a military base there. Yes, it is small, but the location is strategic. This isn't a "just because" reason to go there.

Only the oldest of their 3 is old enough to be in elementary school.

My elementary aged kids would have *loved* a trip to Greenland to watch a dogsled race. Some of the posters here are really reaching for something to be outraged about.
