Just a curious bystander (my kids are not in HS yet): how do you obtain knowledge of all the TJ (or any high school's) senior class college decision results? Just anecdotally? In my FCPS high school, there used to be a more or less anonymous report of results, but much delayed after the guidance office compiled it. What do you expect to know by this week? A few select results based on accepted kids who choose to share? Or do the colleges send the college counselors a report of all applicants and it gets shared with the TJ community?

Only kids who share. Counselors don’t get a list. The rely on students sharing results with them too.

I'd heard this is the strongest TJ class in decades regarding college outcomes. I suspect it's because of the improved selection process that eliminated less talented students' entry through cheating.

Public HS don’t publish complete results. It’s self reported. ~100 kids don’t report for whatever reasons. Private HS publish complete results.

MIT has gone woke this year. The last university I expected.

You heard this from whom, where and when?

the top student in FCPS aren't necessarily going to TJ anymore due to admissions policy changes

I think pretty much any selection system I'd going to select better students over a random sampling but a lot of the best students are going to be at base schools this year.
