What if the best price doesn't factor in externalities like environmental damage, labor rights violations, and social unrest? Unregulated capitalism isn't so great at handling those issues. |
Oh b00mer panic, not button only a touchscreen give me a flip phone |
|
This has nothing to do with boomer anything. It has to do with being a human being and the fact that humans use their eyes to coordinate use of touch screens.
Lots of studies documenting this now, and it applies to all ages. |
lol you are biased. No one prefers the Tesla. |
Teslas are as common as Hondas and Toyotas right now.
|
I have a regular Volvo, 2023 xc60. I also have those issues. The infotainment is sluggish. I also have trouble connecting to the Internet and my google maps is often Offline. Holding down the center button or restarting the modem helps. |
I mean I'm someone who likes buttons and I'm a mid millennial, not a boomer. One of the features I like about my car are these buttons on my steering wheel that are positioned so I can control the music while still holding the steering wheel. Much safer than looking at a screen. |
Presumably they have to sell cars to get the emissions credits though |
And when that care dies? |
That was exactly the point of the Models 3 and Y!!! They are not luxury cars - they were meant to be more accessible. The S was always the luxury version Tesla. |
Tesla has these buttons on the wheel as well. I AM a boomer and I love my touchscreen. We've had Teslas since 2014, have two now, and yes we hate Elon. But were not getting rid of our cars because they run great, require next to no service, and it would be a waste to dump them for political reasons. We will drive them until they die! And if and when they die, we are NOT buying a Chinese car! |
Maybe like 12 years ago, but they've been basic for the past decade or so. Only people who are terrible drivers "drive" them now. |
Tesla drivers are the new Prius drivers. They’re the worst. |
That person can't even spell or use punctuation correctly. Don't even engage. |
You know you can use voice commands on the Tesla, right? You push the BUTTON on the right side of the steering wheel and say something like "play x song or x station or x podcast" or "turn on the windshield wipers to x level", etc. Try it sometime. |
