His wife was found with pills surrounding her, per the latest.

Sure you will

Why such a weird comment? People watch old favorite films all the time. I watched Hoosiers a few weeks ago.

Or she may have been cold and died accidentally by the heater and he found her and was so upset he died. The other dogs I think were found outside and the door was slightly ajar which makes me wonder if they were able to nudge it open. The tragedy is not for him as he lived a long and productive life and enjoyed long good health. It is sad for his wife who was so much younger and that one dog. Well also for his kids and grandkids who didn’t get to say good bye.

Reverse is my guess. I think she found him already dead. He had his cane and sunglasses and was in the mudroom. I bet he collapsed while she was asleep on his way out for a walk. Old people love going out early. She felt terrible for sleeping thru his passing (probably assumed he called for help and she didn’t hear him). She then goes in bathroom, takes pills and turns on space heater to ensure she does not make it. Dog licks spilled pills, gets locked in closet on accident. Front door was open because I bet he either unlocked it before heading to the mudroom or she did hoping someone would find them or to let the doggy out.

Strangest part of this whack theory.

Still think it was carbon monoxide. It leads to confusion which would explain the scenario.

How does turning on the space heater ensure you won't make it? I have my space heater on now.

It sounds like the dog who died was caged in the house. The dogs who survived were roaming the house and could find water and food.

Sounds like he fell and died and then she committed suicide. Caged dog died of dehydration and the other two survived.

Sounds like the deaths happened a couple weeks ago.

The article I saw said the space heater looked to have been pulled down and fallen.

We might never know what happened. But the pills kinda contradict the carbon monoxide theory.

You can’t take anyone who says “on accident” seriously.

An extreme shock can also cause a cardiac event. One found the other, and the shock caused a heart attack. Or someone slipped and fell in panic.

She appears to be Japanese and their culture does have a belief of suicide if you have done something dishonorable. Maybe she felt guilty she wasn't present to help him when he died?

Spilled pills makes me think she was feeling unwell and died while trying to take alleviating meds.

Seeing pictures of Gene’s final outing, it sucks to get that old.

Take care of yourselves and be grateful for today🦋

Actually it's a gift to make it to 95! And he was still very functional to boot.

My first thought was poor lady was only 63.

+1 too young.

Here are the known revealed info so far from a detective working the case.

She has been dead for days, perhaps up to over a week already, due to mummification. Found in bathroom. Dead dog in closet.

Gene has only been dead a day or so. Found on floor next to kitchen, sunglasses by his head on the floor.

Front door was ajar. One dog running loose outside, one remained inside alive found near the woman. One dead in closet.

Pills opened and spilled on floor and counter.

No gas leaks. NM gas checked already.

Obvious foul play.
