We visited and it was a yes.

PP, neither your individual experience nor ours constitutes a yardstick by which OP's kid should judge Vassar, or any other college.

OP, if the academics and teaching philosophy (open curriculum, small classes, etc.) might work well for your kid, visit. True of any collge that's on your radar.

I wrote the post which mentioned my niece. I know multiple people who went to Vassar, they are all wonderful people. Why be a douchebag?

Why be a drama queen, a-hole, or stuck up prick?

Maybe you should ask them? And maybe you can look in the mirror and ponder your response?

At this point, I'm feeling sorry for all of the future parents who will stumble onto this page looking for info on potential schools for their kids and find...well, the above posts.

Feel sorry about you and your kid being rejected from Vassar.

Id prefer vassar for NYC access. I can’t imagine going to an lac in the middle of nowhere for college.

Oh we don’t agree. I’m a lac grad and love my alma mater, I just dislike rural colleges, no matter what kind of college it is.

How often are Vassar kids going to NYC? Based on what I've read in this thread and anecdotal evidence from others I know, not very often.
