My DH has a passport from an EU country.

But so what? If they start throwing liberals into jail, well, then yeah, maybe that will be an option.

I'm not planning on leaving. I love this country. I just hate what the Federalist Society is doing to it.

I agree.

Stay and fight.

That's what I'm doing.

This is MY country. I won't let the greedy foul oligarchs take it over. Not without a fight.

And Muskrat isn't even from America!! He's from South Africa!!

I wish we could deport him!!!

+1000. Don't abandon our country to the TRAITORS.

I don't know I agree with sticking it out here.

1. Trump was legit elected. It's different if it was like he took power. Most of this country wanted him. Who are you all fighting? Each other!!!! Why do I want to fight another citizen?

2. Even pre Trump in office, we were going downhill as a country on so many fronts. Be honest. He isn't the one but we need change. We truly cannot go on pretending in 2025 or 2924, ours has been the greatest country in the world. We have been slipping for some time. Not sure we are all fighting for the status quo to return? If so, count me out. I want to be in a country that isn't going downhill and if so, a country recognizing changes must be made. Sweden is changing their gun laws after the massacre a few weeks ago. New Zealand changed after their massacre a few years ago, this country just doesn't ever want to deviate from the status quo. That's fine for the first 250 years but it won't do moving forward.

3. What's happening is a real jam. Generational perhaps. Not sure who wants to rise up to lead effectively - so yeah you can talk big about the nobility of not giving up but ultimately - we have 2 political parties and I don't know how we get back to being reasonable. I want to see how things shape up as it's a new world with Trump and it's not just him but what he represents. It's scary and I don't know how long it will take before someone honorable will want to be President. It's a tough gig. Not sure who in their right mind would want it so kinda scary who we see running to be.

He was elected to be president, not king. He is totally out of line, and a threat to how this country was set up. It has been the most successful country in the world for a reason. We’re just regressing now.
