| Bagel city had the best bagels. Izes are good if you get them scooped |
| Any good Northern VA bagel recommendations? Brooklyn Bagel Bakery in Arlington is the best we've found, but would love to hear other suggestions. |
Not the homemade whitefish salad, super good. They also have another whitefish salad, not homemade, that has a lot of mayo. |
| Another would-be chain from the DC areas with mid food and sky high prices. Yawn. |
| People are so dumb about bagels. Like I have kinds I don't care for and don't get the hype for (Bullfrog, for example) but you just sound stupid when proclaiming things disgusting or inedible just because it is not to your liking. Grow up. |
I assume you mean Bagels Etc. on P street. If so - amazing bagels!! Definitely the best. We used to live around the corner and I still miss that place, any time we’re nearby we try to go. |
We’re trying to save others from spending their hard-earned money there. |
By encouraging them to substitute your elevated and refined judgment for their own? Why not not say they're not to your taste, instead of proclaiming yourself the arbiter for everyone? Insufficiently ego gratifying, I suppose. |
I also miss Bagel City! I think the store front is still empty. Tatte just moved in across the Pike, but the BC location would have been much better I think for size, parking lot, and access points. Re Call Your Mother, convenience aside (Park and Rose is not, and the parking situation is horrible for pick up and run in), their turkey sandwiches on challah were a great lunch offering! |

The original location is the Park View location. |
Bagels, like pizza and tacos, spark such passion in people. I love it when people have strong feelings about food. But maybe your investment in Call Your Mother will work out, good luck! |
So true! Just drive the 2 miles. Don’t be a Bethesda snob. |
