call your mother

I love this place. I was SO disappointed to see that they recently closed the Bethesda/NIH location, the original! It looks like the trolley car moved to College Park (happy for the lucky Terps).

Does anyone know if they have plans for a new spot in Bethesda? (please don’t respond with the Pike & Rose spot - that is Rockville no matter that some developer decided to call it “North Bethesda”).

Why? They are awful. Went to the McLean one. Bagels were inedible.

I like it also!

Their bagels are terrible. Just giant blobs of bread.

Will miss that convenient-to-us location. We like their breakfast sandwiches and P&R is too far. I guess we will do Bethesda Bagels.

I’m obsessed with their maple black pepper bagels. They’re amazing well toasted. But maybe better for my health that the trolley’s gone. Good time to reduce consumption!

They said they were looking to open a space in dt Bethesda but it didn’t sound imminent.

I saw one in Vienna and gave it a try. Then I called my mother to tell her where not to order anything to eat. She taught me how to prepare crap free bagels.

I know, right? My mother is dead, thanks for reminding me bagel store.

Surprised at all the hate here. I don’t love their bagels but I do like their bagel sandwiches and having the trolley there was great for the neighborhood.

Great for the folks who worked at the NIH, too. Not my favorite bagels but I liked the uncommon flavors.

We don't have many options that are convenient since Goldbergs left, and I much preferred them to Bethesda Bagels. Which are even more like eating a hunk of bread.
