Not sure. But Democrats need to stop debating and acknowledging MAGA. Their cult devotion to Trump is too deep to bother with anymore. They’re gone with no hope. Dems need to come up with better solutions to real problems and leave MAGA behind. Even on DCUMs, we need to stop acknowledging the trolling and move on without them. Their damage is too great.

I agree with some of this but not your suggestion that HRC "blackmailed" the the DNC. HRC would have and probably should have been nominated and elected in 2008 if not for the Obama political train. Like Biden, she is part of the longstanding Democratic Party base and is well known and trusted by the mega donors. The DNC created an easy path for her to win the 2016 nomination just as they did for Biden in 2020 because there was a fear of someone emerging as the primary winner that would be a wild card as far as playing nice with the party's big money financial backers is concerned. HRC didn't blackmail anyone and you can't fault her for claiming the 2016 nomination that was to some degree gifted to her.

Otherwise, I do agree that the DNC's shenanigans made the Trump/Biden/Trump debacle possible.

Run a moderate white male, or a male of color who is extremely charismatic (e.g., Obama)

- Stop focusing on issues that impact the minority of the population (I don’t care if someone is trans, wants to go by they/them, is non-binary or whatever, and no one should be discriminated against for these things. but I do not know a single person falling into these categories - and I live in DC, not the middle of nowhere).
- Focus on issues that impact the vast majority of the population (both republicans and democrats): cost of childcare, cost of college, student loans, healthcare, etc.
- Make it clear that the Democratic Party does not condone illegal immigration in any way, shape or form, particularly violent criminals
- soften the language on the abortion issue (I am pro choice, but grew up Catholic and some of the democrats come off almost as if they are promoting abortion versus acknowledging that oftentimes it is a sad, difficult choice).

I am an independent, left leaning voter FWIW.
