Please God. |
Aren’t there a lot of grants done on a reimbursement basis? That is, the grantee has to do the outlay first and then come back for reimbursement? That means they’ll be stuck holding bag for money they’ve alt spent in reliance on the grant. |
Yep |
+1. Work with your agency’s lawyers. If the dumbest people ever brought into existence can’t write a coherent two-pager, you just say it is ambiguous, interpret it liberally, and decide it doesn’t apply to your division/agency. |
For those saying Trump voters knew what they were getting, some of them really didn’t.
Take a look at foxnews.com right now. It doesn’t mention this at all. If you’re only getting news from one news source and it repeatedly avoids reporting on the big stuff, you don’t believe it. It’s scary how ill informed or deliberately misinformed a large part of the MAGA population is. |
The problem of course, is that most of the Rs with a backbone like Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, etc have been purged from the party... |
Yes, in our agency. Almost all are done on a reimbursement basis. I don't want to out my agency but we give grants to a population that is typically very Republican - they will feel this and I hope they rip him a new one. |
I would hope you implement this memo vigorously when it comes to those particular people |
Many of these are undercover dei handouts it's not a surprise we need to take a closer look at them . Many are full of waste. |
No, honey. You are wrong. |
a lot of these are also grants for energy projects in traditionally coal areas. Great job. |
+100. Overinterpret in this case. |
Don’t feed the troll. Everyone already knows he’s wrong. |
Choosing not to vote at all is still a choice that tilted the election to Trump. Sorry but I don’t feel bad for those people either. Most conservatives actually support most of Project 2025, they just said they didn’t because Trump said he didn’t. Everyone was lying, surprise surprise. |
Yes and for any programs that pay rent, this freeze spans the first of the month which means there will be particularly large expenditures on their books. |
