You can’t because this hasn’t happened before. We are talking trillions of dollars.

Wonderful! This is what the American people voted for.

Please cite the last time a new administration paused every federal grant. You said this happens all the time. Give one example.

Not the PP but this is, unfortunately, what American voters seem to want. Maybe if it hits hard enough some of them will realize it wasn’t really what they wanted, but time will tell.

No it’s not. He didn’t win a popular majority; 1.7 million more people voted against him than for him. Only 23% of the population actually cast a ballot for him. His party also has historically narrow majorities in the House and Senate despite structural advantages that should tilt both chambers in Republicans’ favor.

More importantly, he disavowed Project 2025 on the campaign trail because polls showed it was deeply unpopular. But now, he is enacting every policy it laid out and even letting Project 2025 authors draft the implementation memos. He lied. Again. And now the whole country gets to suffer for it.

Choosing not to vote at all is still a choice that tilted the election to Trump. Sorry but I don’t feel bad for those people either.

Most conservatives actually support most of Project 2025, they just said they didn’t because Trump said he didn’t. Everyone was lying, surprise surprise.

Well we can also blame Dems (of which I’m one) for not having a real primary and letting someone clearly not up to the job of campaigning run again. And then way late in the game installing a very unpopular candidate, who couldn’t even make it to the first primary when running in 2020, take over.

Do better, Dems.

I bet you side with the abuser instead of the victim.

DP. As an independent, I agree with that poster.

Independents are just conservatives who can't stand the heat. They want plausible deniability. "You made me do it. Wah!" Babies

Blame me if you want - but it was Democrats who didn't show up to vote for their candidate.

Shoulda picked better.

Exactly- and this is why republicans will continue to have the upper hand in presidential elections. I know you all think were part of a “cult” but there are plenty republicans who don’t particularly like Trump as a person (I preferred Haley) but he was the nominee and what was the alternative, voting for a democrat? lol no. Meanwhile you guys (and some “independents”) are waiting for the second coming of Obama, no one short of perfect will do. Oh well! Your loss.

I mean this seriously: I hope all these changes affect you acutely and imminently.

Medicaid systems are now down.

People are going to die because they can't get treatments or medications, including kids. Medicaid also pays for a lot of nursing home care, an industry that's already struggling.

Literally LOL. All these people tried so hard to fearmonger in the first admin and it’s obviously not working for this one. You played all your cards already libs! But yes please keep telling ppl that hospitals are closing because of there’s been a pause on funding for 12 hours 😂 I’m sure the dumb ones will eventually vote like you want them to!

I can tell from your trolling you’re scared the damage from all this will actually resonate. Thanks for letting us know.

Please, just like govt shutdown nobody will notice except for the washington swamp that feeds off this trough. Maybe some fake spectacle like putting up a caution come to not enter the Washington mall but the public sees through it.

My brother in law was just about to start a job with a non profit
They let him know today they need to see what is up with their grant money now before he actually starts. He lives in Ohio.

Most of these nonprofits are scams or lobbyists, most should go away if they can fund themselves

Meals on wheels providers are a scam?

Depends how much money is going to meals.

I wish he would cut Section 8. If you don't have a job you should not be living in your own apartment. A shelter is more suitable.

And what do you think will happen to the kids who live in Secrion 8 housing?

How much shelter space do you think is available?

It's all excuses. This person wanted to vote for Trump. It doesn't matter who else was running.

Some people get off on being cruel, that's very clear.

But for self preservation purposes you do not want a section of the populace to be hungry, desperate, and homeless.

Many people on Section 8 do have jobs.
