Why do you engage with MAGA on DCUM?

Democrats lost the most recent election due to their own poor policies and extremism. The sad thing is that they live inside their liberal bubble and are incapable of any self-reflection. They would rather attack voters for not choosing them than change their unpopular agenda.

Now:
Unemployment 4.1%
Gas $3.12/gallon
S&P 500 5,997
Inflation rate 2.9%

The sad thing is, you live in a right wing bubble, and you’ve been manipulated to be passionate about things that aren’t issues.

The most annoying trait of the left is their insistence that anyone who disagrees with them is uneducated, manipulated or lied to. You don’t have the monopoly on truth.

I am seeing a trend that looks very suspect - MAGA jumps in on a thread, another responds in support and then you engage. I think there are less than a handful of MAGA, they respond to themselves, and are attempting to make it look like they are all over the place in massive numbers (tracks). Syntax, punctuation, very limited ability to defend their point, and very old references indicate they are retired boomers trying to upset Gen X/millenials on this board. The last thread I read challenged calling 47 a hillbilly claiming one’s love for an actual Arkansas hillbilly - Clinton. Honey, I was in early elementary school when he was president. I don’t love nor do I think about him when speaking about recent presidents.

As the title mentions, why do you respond back and engage with MAGA? I get it can feel good but wouldn’t it be amazing to watch them fade into the corner and die their impending boomer death asking why no one is looking at or talking to them? Whatever happened to not feeding the troll and scoffing at their uneducated rants? My secondhand embarrassment is so strong for them.

I don't like seeing false information left unchallenged, so I try to provide links that carry the truth. Who knows, maybe one of them will read one of the links someday.

LOL, define truth. The fact is, Biden has created one of the best economies in the world and Trump left a dumpster fire in 2021. If you don;t understand that. then that is a you problem. Facts are facts and truth is truth. Face it, you like being lied to and being manipulated. Who knows WHY you want that in your life, but you do. You also probably believe Hillary Clinton killed Vince Foster and Seth Rich. Sad.

What do you consider socialism?

Build Back Better was socialism. Thankfully, due to Joe Manchin, it did not pass, but Democrats were still able to pass another bill full of government subsidies and reckless spending.

Socialism like Medicare, Social Security, the military, federal roads, etc? You're against all that?
Very few people, even Republicans, believe we don't need taxes to pay for the common good (everything you mentioned). However, the difference between conservatives and progressives is how much more we spend on give-aways that aren't for the common good like welfare which is wealth redistribution which is socialist. As a liberal Democrat, I'm not against welfare. But I am against abuses of the system which seems quite broken.

Did you miss the last four years and the pain Biden’s inflation and border policies brought us? You can’t just wipe away the increase in prices because the inflation rate went down (slowly).

Did you forget there was a global pandemic? Four years is not a slow recovery from that.

Price increases during record breaking corporate profits is not inflation. That’s corporate greed. Only Kamala and Joe called it out and want to do something about that. MAGA called them communists for it. Make up your mind.

Trump didn't even get a majority of Americans to vote for him. He has no mandate, but that won't stop the Christian Nationalists from taking root in a very damaging way. Note the absolute symbolism of the Inaugural...Trump will be warm and inside with his billionaires while his voters spent thousands of dollars to be in DC and will end up watching everything on TV. He HATES his voters and knows they are suckers, just like he hates the military. Just look at the overt grift.

"Corporate greed" is the new liberal boogeyman.

Biden caused historic levels of inflation. Own it.

Do you now what costs the country more than aid for the poor? The tax breaks and loopholes that the 1% get. Very few of that 1% are reading this forum - most people reading this forum are negatively impacted by the Trump tax policies, and don't even realize how badly the American treasury is and will be getting raped by Trump and his oligarchs. But sure, go ahead and pretend that trump is a normal conservative like Adam Kintzinger. Note how all the traditional conservatives have been booted from the party. Big tent, right?

If that were the case, then inflation would be worse in the US as compared to the rest of the world, right? Guess what, inflation is far BETTER in the US than the rest of the world, so how do you explain that?

I don't deny any of that. I was simply responding to PP's ridiculous comment about roads and the military being socialism. The fact is that most progressives DO progressive want some form of socialism. Our County just released a budget and equity (a Marxist concept) is one of the 3 main pillars.

To your point, it's painfully clear it's the same poster. The grammatical and thematic style reads the same across all the responses.

Ask Jeff. I'll wait.

Oh please “truth is truth” get real. Republicans are not the people who believe that humans can change sex. Get over yourself.
