The deliberate ignorance about the difference between Spanish vacations and actual Spanish ethnicity was ridiculous.

I agree. I posted this on the other thread but it’s like a real life Talented Mr Ripley, where someone wants to be something so much they just will it to be. It’s such an amazing psychological study. I mean, I guess it’s possible she has forgotten the word for onion? (To be fair, with that many kids and hitting your 40s, you do start to forget a lot of words, even if you’re not devoting half your mental energy to pretending to be from another country.). I'm going to have to watch a couple episodes of the reality show just to see how they pretend to interact.

I used to love Alec B as an actor but now he seems like such a shell of his former self, it makes me sad to see him. I think Lorne sends him some work because they’ve been friends for so long. I wonder if he’s tried to get Tina to cast him in any of her stuff.

Yes! It's astonishing but true that she continued with the fake accent and tried to spin the situation to bullying her because she was bilingual and multicultural or "fluid."

My theory was that Alec truly believed her so she had to keep up the pretense or lose him. In the beginning he thought she was from Spain. See examples of him on video literally saying "My wife is from Spain." Then he changed it to she spent a lot of time in Spain and school was involved, neither of which appear to be true.
