The 2011 championship bracket is definitely set up for the home team to make it to finals. The B bracket has all the top teams and Richmond is on the side with lower ranked teams. How does this make sense? Tournament director did a piss poor job making brackets even. So I hope they make it to finals and if they don't it would be all for nothing.

Arlington will win the top. They just care about making it beyond the final 8 in the ECNL finals.

That ARL team has been underperforming, but agree that they should be in the 2nd bracket. Not sure why Jeff Cup would have moved FVU up to 2nd bracket, and ARL down to 3rd. The two teams are essentially even in the ECNL standings and ARL had a better performance at WAGS.

In the standings FVU is 2nd and Arlington is 5th, so I guess Jeff Cup appropriately placed a 5th place team

Union and Arlington are 7-2 and 7-2-1. Top 5 in the 2012 ECNL standings are all within 1 game. Depends on the team parent who decides to complain or boast about placement.

Against losing teams. The stats are padded. What is the record against winning teams? 0000

Agree, see this in other age groups as well.

DD’s team is in flight 6 or 7 of 12 levels total. When we joined we were told about the national exposure and high caliber coaching. So far it’s total opposite. We’re in a brand new GA team. Is this normal to be placed this far low? What or who decides these placements? TIA for any help, I’m at a loss since soccer isn’t really my thing

Different poster, my daughter will have fun but isn't the whole point of these massive tournaments to match up the best of the best from all over the region/country? Stupidly imbalanced flights don't help with this objective.

Jeff Cup doesn’t rate GA unless you are a top club

that's funny that Richmond gave themselves the easier teams. if i'm arlington though, I want to play the best teams, so I am happy.

it doesn't help that you are on a GA team playing in an ECNL owned tournament. Also, you can look at soccer rankings app to see if you are at or about the same level as the teams you are playing. But I generally think this event doesn't do any good for GA teams.
