Omg. I could’ve posted this.

She gains some legitimacy by being attached to a credible, talented actor and he gains some legitimacy as a hetero male by being attached to a voluptuous woman. Nothing else makes sense because they don’t even really seem that into each other.

NP here: Agreed. If it was revealed he was gay, it would be devastating to his career. He's a heart throb to so many young women all over the globe, including lots of traditional conservative countries.

She's got a huge fan base online so I see this as a symbiotic, transactional PR relationship.

He doesn’t seem gay to me. I know there’s a poster here who’s convinced that every male celebrity is secretly gay, except the gay guy who had his arm around Aubrey Plaza 🙄, but I don’t think Chalamet is.

Here's my question: what does Kylie need legitimacy for? It's not like she's Kim and trying to get admitted to the bar or anything. Her mom created a makeup line for her and she poses sexily and accidentally got knocked up by someone who cheated on her with her "best" friend. Twice.

I agree. He must really like/love her. She is hurting his career/reputation if anything.

I agree with this. She's super trashy.

Yeah I think so too. FWB who are using it for PR

I'm fascinated because I would think he'd have better taste than to date a famewhore Kardashian.

My theory is that he needed money during the actors strike so he negotiated a contract to get paid to "date" Kylie.

+1. I think he spends more than he earns. He was reportedly only paid $2 mill for A Complete Unknown. So he either needs to do something like this, or shill products like Tom Holland. He had a contract with Chanel, but he's probably already blown through that money.

Her current income stream seems to be coming from selling products, so she needs to stay in the public eye, but she seems to not want to do that? Or at least do it in a way that is compelling on her own. Basically the only times I hear about her are in connection to her relationship.

I think he "dates" her because he wants to freedom to date around without it being seen. The relationship with Kylie is good cover for that, and he's willing to take the occasional PR hit to maintain this freedom.

I imagine her momager has future plans for her that entail her being more of a businesswoman and less of a surgically enhanced reality star. You would think heading up a successful beauty brand would be enough for someone her age, but as we all know, this family is greedy as hell and wants their hands in every possible industry that they can profit from.

What successful beauty brand does she head? I've never heard of anyone using a Kylie product recently.

Strategic moves because it's not good business to rely solely on physical appearance preferences and reality TV in a fickle world.

Agree he’s terrible looking. And that awful mustache that’s in style only makes it worse.

Name someone who you think isn’t terrible looking.

Tom Holland, Jamie Dornan, Pedro Pascal, Andrew Garfield, Channing Tatum, Penn Badgley.

Somehow I knew Channing Tatum would be on this list. He looks like a potato, wtf

Exactly, a white potato. Him, Travis Kelce, that guy from Guardians of the Galaxy married to the Schwarzenegger daughter… most actors are interchangeable and Chalamet stands out.
