Even if it’s not true?

The video. Speaks for itself

The video does not show he hit the child’s foot. The judge noted that the child does not react as if his foot was ever hit.

Enough already. He lost his school, was arrested, case was dismissed or he was acquitted, and MCPS seems lucky that he didn’t sue them for how things were handled.

I believe it’s time to move on and allow him to return. No doubt he will be micromanaged and watched.

I actually Hope the family sues mcps. And wouldn’t Mr winter be suing mcpd ? What does mcps have to do with his arrest and the charges ? Nothing at all

Oh grow up. The parents clearly don’t know how to parent, and are mad that once their kid can’t do everything he wants and someone disciplines him, they should sue?? No way.

Go back to your hole, troll

It's clear this guy has some defenders on DCUM. Maybe it's himself, maybe it's MCPS trying to do damage control. I suggest those interested in this case read the actual news reports.

Winter isn’t a good person. He has sexually harrassed teachers (reported to MCPS and swept under the rug), only cares about his favorite students and doesn’t even try to engage with anyone else, and has blatantly lied to parents. He was incredibly rude to me when my child was there. I know many parents who actively dislike him. Teachers don’t like him unless he plays favorites towards them, too.

It’s not just this incident.

He needs a central office job or to just go do something else. He shouldn’t be in a school anymore.

(btw, if a person quotes news reports without links, be skeptical)

Administration is taught how they are expected to handle students like this, and grabbing them from the hood is not it.

Seems like he was being effective at his job before the accusations. Accusations are just that until the facts are revealed and a decision is made. The decision has been made based on the facts. Time to allow him to move on.

-1000 you don’t actually know the facts. This could have been swept under the rug by MCPS. Why no jury??

Uh huh, we all know how great MCPS is with dealing with abusers and predators. Gtfooh

The judge in this case sounds like an idiot, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say a crime couldn't be proven. That's a very, very low bar for deciding whether someone should be working with young children.

News reports aren’t always accurate and I don’t believe Winter has ever commented or shared his thoughts of what happened.

The Judge dismissed this and she’s been on the bench for over 15 years and a Harvard grad too. MCPS says he is cleared to return.

My guess is Winter is not the same after enduring everything that’s happened and he’s going to be the AP not the principal. As a parent at RCV with two young children, I believe he should be allowed to serve as AP.

The judge knew the facts and cleared him. Bench trial.

Wrong. He’s volatile and struggles to regulate. Is prone to outbursts. Sure, he can be a nice guy and has some redeeming qualities. But to say he was effective and had no issues prior to this is wrong.

Regardless of the outcome of the court case, he cannot effectively work as a school-based administrator in MCPS. There’s way too much baggage. This thread clearly articulates that.

Some of the biggest idiots I know went to Harvard. They think they know more than they actually do, which is the definition of stupidity.

I trust news reports far more than I trust you btw. Doubtful you are a parent with no connection to this guy.

This!!! I worked with him and saw him make sexual advances toward a staff member with my own eyes. He is extremely inappropriate at best and a dangerous person toward children at worst (not proven in a court of law but the video certainly implies he doesn’t follow disciplinary guidelines and procedures handed down to admin)
