I would too. There is nothing worse than being stuck in a plane on the tarmac with the feeling that you can't get out, while you can see the outside through the window. It doesn't bother me when plane is in the air, because we are moving, but to be sitting with no escape is a horrible feeling.

Well I wouldn't fly 13 hours to go to Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is amazing.

This is an extreme bad example but i do feel like travel issues are so frequent that I never want to do one of those “just a quick trip to…” trips. Like when people talk about going to Europe for a long weekend….its just too likly that rheee will be a hiccup with your flight and you’ll end up loosing half the trip. Last time we flew to London BA cancelled our flight for no reason at all and we lost a full day. I went back and looked and they had cancelled basically every other day that flight from BWi — turns out there really isn’t enough demand for a BWI Heathrow daily flight so they were just cancelling half of them rather than fly them half full.

Wait how did you come to that conclusion based on a couple days of flight info? It's extremely expensive to cancel a flight that's already on the schedule. Very disruptive for passengers, crew, cargo, etc. They don't cancel flights just because one might be half full.
