I don’t know how the Cathedral schools are doing, but Sidwell’s seniors are doing great!

Then you must be looking at another high school’s IG.

Out of 26 posts, 50% of Sidwell’s seniors are heading to T25 universities (56% of those are Ivy+). The rest are primarily T25 SLACS and T40 Universities.

You don’t need to wear designer clothing and flashy diamond jewelry to be wealthy.

DP.

Lol—what are you talking about? There’s only one indisputable member of the Big 3. No one ever questions that particular school’s status.
NCS and STA’s Big 3 status is debatable.

The only debate has ever been whether they take up one slot or two in the rankings since a student is only eligible to attend one or the other.

Exactly.

Throw Sidwell in and there's your "Big 3."

Legacies are getting in.

Legacies are also getting rejected. Sidwell legacies at that.

Why the lack of transparency from these schools? They should follow Bullis lead and post all. Unless they’re hiding something….

People’s problems in the bedrooms are none of your business, op.

Why does the general public need "transparency" from private schools about college admissions? Maybe something admissions office can offer applicants and their families but schools don't owe the general public fodder for mindless discussions on DCUM.

If they aren’t strong students (grades/test scores), they should expect to be rejected. It doesn’t matter if they attend Sidwell. Your high school and legacy status shouldn’t override poor academic performance (especially in the current climate).

Totally agree. I was responding the poster above who said “legacies are getting in”. Legacies are only getting in do they have the stats to support admission. It’s not like athletic recruits.

So these schools share the stats with applicants?

No, they do not.

Because it is none of your damned business where some kid you don't know is going to college.

The Sidwell students are killing it right now! What percentage of these kids are hooked? Are they more hooked than the other Big 3/5 schools?
