So how many children are in your child's class in a Fairfax County school?

Is any class, anywhere in FFX, under 23 for 3/4/5 grades?

I think we're at the same place. Saw some class lists with 31. My DC's class has 30. Wonder if I should be worried?

Now my 5th grader only has 29 in the class. I thought it was 31 but it was actually 30, and one kid has not showed up for school yet and apparently is not enrolled, so they're removing that kid from the roster, making it 29.

I'm not sure what I'd be worried about with 30 kids. We had more than that last year in AAP and it was fine. Anyway, there's nothing you can do about class sizes.

Curious about those who have more than, about 25 students - does the teacher have an assistant? My DC has 25 students in his class (2nd grade) with no assistant teacher. Is this the norm?

My daughters class has 28 and they do have an assistant.

What is AAP? Advanced Academic Program? Is that comparable to the GT program?

28 in a 4th grade class (AAP Center) and no assistant. They are clustering with the other 4th grade AAP class so that the number drops to about 20 for science and social studies.
