So how many children are in your child's class in a Fairfax County school?

My children have:

22 kids in kindergarten
29 kids in 3rd grade

18 in each (K and 3rd)

Our school's principal has worked to get grant-funding to keep classes small. Not sure of details.

22 in 2nd grade. 17:15, if you are OK with disclosing ES name I would be grateful...I have a friend with young kids in Chicago mulling over a job offer here... often numbers low = good educational outcomes IMO.

17:55 here. It's Forest Edge ES in Reston. Personally, I think it's a hidden gem. Also an AAP center.

20:39 thank you. Haven't considered telling friend about Reston b/c of "graying" of population, South Lakes' bad reputation etc. but I am hearing such positive things lately about Sunrise Valley & Forest Edge. Will do more research and talk with more people while reading DCUM less.

Reston schools are bad compared to McLean even if there are 2.5 extra kids per class. Seriously.
