When you guys say “quitting the news” - are you referring to broadcast/podcasts/online?

Or do you mean, you literally are not reading newspapers or long form journalism?

Yes, I find it troubling too. Cable news is complete garbage but journalists are doing important work, and citizens need to follow the news - EVEN IF YOU DON’T LIKE what the elected officials are doing.

Agreed, but I for one am not giving up on the truth. I will continue to seek it out from a range of news sources and will continue to push back on disinformation from the Right everywhere I can, including on this forum.

I cannot speak for others. But I am referring to all of it.

But in particular, the big networks editorialize and distort literally everything. They emphasize their political agendas (that is called: propaganda).

And they intentionally ignore or try to downplay anything which counters their narratives. It has reached the point of absurdity. I’m just done with all of it.

I guess it’s not easy to accept that we have to live with lowest common denominator policies. But that’s how it’s going to be.
