In addition to what was said above, there is a group of people that think he is a Marxist. I mean, those people are crazy, but they sure seem to be loud.
Normal county residents fall into one of two camps.
Like Elrich because he went out of his way to support your community in some way when other councilmembers ignored them. And appreciate that he’s straightforward, says what he means and does what he says.
Don’t like Elrich because he’s never met a tax he didn’t like and don’t like some of the things he says.
Then there are two radical fringe groups, DSA and GGW, battling it out.
