What are the ways you'll resist?

But but I thought you all believed that he would seize and keep his power forever and there would be no more chance to ever vote again once he was elected? Where is all this new optimism coming from? lol

You’re ascribing the comments of a few to everybody. Go enjoy. Trump’s got limited time left, and time goes fast. The rest of us are just waiting it out.

Ok now you want to distance yourself from the Dems' main narrative: he's a threat to democracy! Glad you were in the sane camp vs the hysterics.

Okay.

How's that Middle East thing going for the GOP? You all got a concept of a plan, or something?

Not any worse than what it has been

Let's all send out thoughts and prayers that you all can maintain that as things develop.

People are watching, you know.

DP. It's only been a week. Give him time.

So why do I see posts after posts about which Democrats should run in 2028? Why do I see you all encouraging voting in the next election for governor...hoping for a blue wave? I guess fearmongering didn't work, so Dems like some PPs are resorting to petty resistance like not letting Teslas merge into their lane. Sad

Hope?

Going through the motions, PP. We'll do what we can, but running the country and fixing everything is on you now. Hop to it. This isn't our responsibility right now, so, you know, not that worked up about what to do.

Sorry.

Eh not my job, and I don't worry too much about Trump either. The bar isn't exactly sky high. It's not that difficult to live up and surpass his predecessor's accomplishments.

Okay. No reason not to, amirite?

Why do you think I'm "invested in the drama?" Weird comment.

While he may be a lame duck, he's also said he will be a dictator and we'll "never have to vote again."

OP

Quote him accurately then! He said he only intends “to be a dictator on day one”

See that? That’s how stupid you sound.

Get on with your life and stop dwelling on this.

Seems to me the first thing any dictator would do “on day one” is consolidate their power.

It’s always fascinated me how the further left one is, their ability to detect sarcasm seems to drop at a geometric curve. I’d love to plot it one day with a sample group.

What you call sarcasm, I call a trial balloon.

I’m not going to resist. People voted for this shitshow, and I’m not going to stand in their way.

This is funny!

OP

I do the same thing with Kamala stickers on their car. Works both ways.

Exactly. My resistance is consolidating my finances so that I’m immune to the idiocy of the next four years. Then just sit in my blue state/city & watch the rest of flyover country degrade.

I'm chaneling my charitable contributions to PP and the ACLU this year
Gonna skip the Toys for Tots/Make a Wish type charities, survival and basic rights takes precedence over those
Avoid spending vacation dollars in red states, but support the wildlife preservation groups, as I know the GOP gives no $#@% about the planet

Right after the election in 2016 I was optimistic that Trump’s term wouldn’t be as bad as I originally expected. Turns out I greatly UNDERestimated the sh.tshow he would create.

I won’t be so optimistic this time around.

He is capable of truly terrible things. I hope his second term isn’t bad, but I won’t be surprised at all if it turns out to be a nightmare.

Guess I’ll milk the market for now before diversifying and retaining my wealth while TSHTF. Not much else I can do right now.

I know it's tempting to try to out-apathy the Dems, but you kind of have to care. It's your job now. Time to get out of bed, wash your face, and get to work. This country isn't going to fix itself, and you have allllll the keys.

Right now, I am resisting by not taking the bait. I feel like it's the healthiest thing I can do for myself.

This situation reminds me of my ex who did everything he could to sabotage his own health. The whole family tried for more than a year to save him from himself, then we gave up. He died soon after.

Trump will be dead in the near future. Dude is pushing 80, and eats McDonald’s all the time. The people who want to assassinate him just need to be patient. The Reaper will come to get him soon enough.

The only thing I'll resist is spending money in red states.

Other than that, I'm just going to ride the wave since most of what he passes will benefit me as a wealthy person.

This is one of the most stupidest things I have ever heard. There are already enough aggressive drivers. You want to contribute to road rage and unsafety?
Anonymous
I'm not going to resist at all. Can't wait to watch Trump purge his own people every other week and whatever other nonsense goes on.
