What are the ways you'll resist?

Hysteria? Okay.

Looks kind of tepid, but sure.

The only ones who are hysterical are the Republicans because now they actually have to work.

Why do you think I'm "invested in the drama?" Weird comment.

While he may be a lame duck, he's also said he will be a dictator and we'll "never have to vote again."

OP

Quote him accurately then! He said he only intends “to be a dictator on day one”

See that? That’s how stupid you sound.

Get on with your life and stop dwelling on this.

Not resisting but will be sure to vote in my next state elections and will encourage others to do so.

If you live in VA, we have elections for Gov., Lt. Gov, and AG in November 2025. Right now these positions are all held by MAGA. Let's turn them blue. Fewer people vote in elections that don't involve picking a president--let's make sure more of us show up than more of them.

This is funny!

OP

No, it isn’t funny! It’s dangerous. Driving is a cooperative activity. Being courteous makes it safer for everyone. If you try to block someone from merging, they may try to do it anyway, or be distracted for longer than necessary looking for an opening, or get upset and spark road rage incidents.

Not to mention, I thought it was mostly Democrats who had purchased Tesla’s because of their environments. It makes no sense to target Democrats because you’re upset at Republicans.

Whatever you do to Tesla owners isn’t going to impact Musk at all, he already has their money. I guess if there are more accidents caused by the aggressive driving tactics he might make more on repairs, but increasing his profits doesn’t seem like much of a punishment.

But but I thought you all believed that he would seize and keep his power forever and there would be no more chance to ever vote again once he was elected? Where is all this new optimism coming from? lol

Seems to me the first thing any dictator would do “on day one” is consolidate their power.

This is really all Democrats can do. Make sure to vote, because that might make a difference. Locally, help the people you can, but conserve your energy and use it in a targeted way.

Tears are for situations you could have changed. It is what it is. People voted, and there is really not much to do about it.

Welp, either he will or he won't. If he changes the rules enough, not much to do. If he doesn't, we vote.

Nothing to get too excited about.
