University of Arizona/University of Arizona
That was dumb, but cheap. |
| Yale/Yale. Yes, I was very lucky and it changed my life. No, I don’t think I’d get in today. |
| CMU (got in, too little FA), small regional college that gave me money. |
Not true - I responded and I went to GWU. |
Fine. Haverford/Haverford |
| Brown/Colgate |
| Rice/Virginia Tech |
hahahaha in the spirit of your comment, I'll go... Wanted Notre Dame... ended up at Catholic University. ahahahah I never had a chance. BUT... CUA gave me an opportunity to study architecture that no other school would have allowed me to try. 30 years later, I've been very successful and enjoyed the fruits of a great education, wonderful campus and lifelong friends. So, there you go! |
| Wanted Brown. Ended up at Smith. |
| W&M/W&M |
smith is my what if? school. They sent me SOOO much stuff in the mail and I still remember the beautiful brochures and such. (BU was another one that sent me mail almost daily) I didn't want a women's college or the cold of MA, but I always wonder what would have happened if I HAD gone that direction. A neighborhood friend has a daughter there now just loving it. And my child wound up at a school in MA, as well (not Smith level, but still - new england) |
| Wanted Northwestern and got in, but couldn’t afford it. Got a full ride to AU and went there. No regrets. |
Sounds amazing. Toured Northampton during an amherst visit and was immediately jealous! |
| Wanted Harvard, got Princeton transferred to Williams. A snake-like path but adored the years in purple valley |
Same. Ended up at Clarkson on a full ride. |
