Shrinkflation in Halloween candy is insane

This is awful. How are we all going to get enough sugar?

We are in a diabetes epidemic that is costing the taxpayer a LOT of money, after all. The doctor how diagnosed my son told us that a third of the US population is thought to have pre-diabetes, but most don't know it, because their doctors haven't thought to test their A1C.

Get your A1C tested at your next check-up.

Type 1 or Type 2? There's a huge difference

I’m surprised people don’t know this but there was a major major problem with the cocoa harvest that has caused cocoa prices to shoot through the roof. If you buy the variety pack of candy, you’ll notice more twisters and starburst and basically anything without chocolate. The price of cocoa went up almost 500% in a year — it’s mostly due to climate change so probably won’t reverse anytime soon. This is one case where I don’t blame the manufacturers at all for shrinkflatkon — I’m surprised they haven’t raised prices a lot more.

You lost everyone there. Silly.

The Sugarpocalypse and ensuing Sugar Wars will sort it out. First you have to get through the wastelands to the land of sugar, then battle warlords decked out in apocalyptic garb and their minions, then perhaps, you come out on top and have a mini-sugar-fiefdom to rule over.

"First you get the sugar, then you get the power, then you get the women!" - Homer "Sucrose Supreme" Simpson.

No, just the deniers.

So everyone except you and your other posts. Got it.
Cocoa went up as everything else did, due to poor economics and inflation.

This is all thanks to Bidenomics. And Harris will only bring us four more years of misery.

Why are we fatter when the candy is smaller?

I looked at my bag of hershey's and there's no pgpr.
They all list cocoa butter as an actual ingredient of the chocolate (each kind of mini bar)

Thank you Biden Harris

It’s so expensive. I live on a major trick or treat block and I would need to spend close to $500 to give one small piece of candy to every child.
