Jew here this is BS

I am a reform Jew and now since Trump
And the stupids I will never vote for a Republican again. Because I have a brain. Nothing to do with being left.

Your so called take of leftists is an extremely small minority of Jews. Less than the cult Jews like Chabad or Lubbies or Hasidic who are stunningly gross for supporting Republicans the party of Nazis.

I support Israel full on but I am an American First .

The OP is crazy. Listen to Harris, she is very specific in supporting, without question, the Israeli people in their defense. She was pretty candid in suggesting Netanyahu is the problem, and I could not agree more.

I am more concerned about the nativist anti-Jewish rhetoric from the neo-KKK, Marge Greene types than I am for people who support the Palestinians. And yes, I distinguish between the plight of Palestinian people and Hamas, who should not be supported on any level.

Not a big Netanyahu fan myself but how is he "the problem" in this situation? Israel has a right to defend itself and stop those who seek to annilhilate the Jewish state.

Yeah. I couldn't agree more. I'm glad he annihilated and maimed all of those kids. Sucks to suck children. Should've been born somewhere else.

This is a horrible comment. Check your humanity please.

I did. It turns out we're vile, despicable creatures that lie, cheat, and kill. Your ancestors survived because of those instincts.

Just the orthodox/hasidic.

Moderate and liberal Jews, of which there are many times more, do not support Trump at all.

Why? Will Trump let you slaughter more people with American money?

The "you" you're addressing here is an American Jew, not an Israeli (and certainly not an Israeli government official), so although I totally disagree with this person's claims about how American Jews should vote and also disagree with the Netanyahu government's policies on the war and on a broad range of issues that long predate the war, I have to say it's offensive to blame this PP for the conduct of the war. Which American Jews are not in charge of.

Trump literally says it'll be Jews' fault if he loses, and you think a bunch of college kids who are upset about the war is a bigger threat than he is?

At this moment, Israel is in a position to "win" by getting the hostages back having weakened both Hamas and Hezbollah. Right now would be the time to strike a peace deal. Netanyahu won't do it. Why? Because the minute the war is over, he goes to jail. So the people of Israel, Lebanon and Gaza continue to suffer so one made can avoid prison.

You mean HAMAS won't agree to a peace deal - or return the hostages. Why do you never, ever demand HAMAS surrender?

There's enough Orthodox Jews in NYS to put it over 50%. Almost all vote GOP now.

Ah, so are we supposed to vote for the guy who says it'll be our fault if he loses, then? The one who's supported by the people who fervently believe in antisemitic conspiracy theories already?

DP. Are you referring to LWNJs? Because those are very obviously the people who believe in antisemitic conspiracy theories and who clearly detest Jews. I know who I'm voting for.

No, I'm referring to the QAnon crowd and the neo-Nazis who enthusiastically support Trump. There are a lot of people in both parties who hate Jews. Given a choice between two political parties that both have supporters who dislike me, I'm still voting for the one whose policies I mostly agree with rather than the one I totally disagree with. And, again, at least Harris has not said she'd blame the Jews if she loses!

The left is correct and the comparisons are apt. Israel can stop the killing and the occupation or Jews will be reviled around the world due to Israel’s behavior.

If the current acts of Israel strengthen your identity then your identity is toxic.

At the moment, Netanayhu is the block. This has been documented. If he were to agree, then the pressure would be on Hamas, but Hamas had already agreed to the framework.

The anti-Jews on the right are the ones running for office and are generally in power.
On the left, they are fringe but for one or two House members.

the people on the right who are pro-Israel believe in The Rapture, hence their support.

Oh, please - spare us all. Hamas is a terrorist organization and demanding Israel cease defending itself is very clearly capitulating to terrorists. No thanks.

That is such a load of BS - it's something a LWNJ would say. Israel is our longest, and oldest, ally in the Middle East. I will absolutely support them over any terrorist regime. YMMV.

You do know that the extreme leftist anti-Israel crowd is not voting for Harris, right? Because she's such a strong supporter of Israel?

I am not Jewish but an ally...

I am disturbed at how casual, smiling anti-semitism is now acceptable. It is now ok to assume, out loud, that any Jewish politician or journalist is biased and cannot do their jobs properly. It is now ok, in the public sphere, to call Jewish people liars and brainwashers and anti-American.

I am also distubured at how cleverness wins now, instead of logic and social science. Statements such as "well, the war didn't start on 10/7 so 10/7 was just another day in it" are said in the same breath as "ceasefire"...there is no logic here. Or, how Jewish people are just called "zionists" now, and that give you the right to call them evil, stupid, etc. Or that Palestinians deserve a state, now, because they have been angry since the 1940s. That's is, that is the reason. To stop their anger, we need to give them what they want.
