Should I find a way to cancel? I really don't want to but I can see why this may seem inappropriate from the outside. Boss is 5 years older than me fwiw.

There are no conferences that do this.

Try harder Troll. Less total nonsense.

This is the day before the conference. Many industries have conferences at fancy resorts.

Sorry, not on the ocean or big lakes. not even MasterCraft.

Name the BS resort or conference Op.

Not sure why you are obsessed over this one point. Because I made it up?

I googled Miami industry conferences and 12 popped up between October and December.

I am sure if you google warm weather locations like Tampa or other Florida cities or San Diego you will also see a bunch pop up.

Those have huge office districts and expo centers.

No ones at a conference in swimsuits with their boss or “water sports” out on the open water ocean. lol. No one would pay for a bunch of execs to crash around and on a wave runner in Miami.

Did you say San Diego? Do you even know what temp the water is there and how wavy?

Name the conference location where white collar workers are swimming and water sporting together at. It’s not Miami nor San Diego. It’s not in USA.

Are you really this thick?

Op says she is going to a conference…let’s say it’s Miami as a straw city.

Conference starts Monday so she is jet skiing on Sunday.

She didn’t say the jet skiing and conference had anything to do with each other. The location is warm near the ocean.

Get it now or are you still confused? Have you never combined a work trip with some R&R days?

Yeah love to hear about this city and conference venue with “jet skis” right on site. Or maybe it required an hour ride to a recreational beach.

Perfect thing to go a day early to and invite ones similarly aged boss.

Op must be back by now, from her mid-week conference.

Jet skiing over the snorkelers, cool!

Makes sense

So cool you both coordinated to be at a conference a whole day ahead of time!

There is a reef near Miami.
Hawaii has snorkeling and jet skis.
Y'all need to get out more.

Those of us who are well traveled, well conferenced, own wave runners, and are PADI certified know this post is fake as F.

So you can stop by your nutjob attempts at pretending your fake OP is going to a fake work conference where she is going fake snorkeling and fake jet skiing on the same exact fake afternoon and same fake venue.

Waldorf Astoria Key West (looks like it’s now called Casa Marina)
Ritz St Thomas
JW Marriott Marco Island
Marriott Sanibel Harbour

Plus there are a few places on Key Largo. I’ve just never personally been to a conference there.

Fascinating venues you’ve been to for work conferences. Cant imagine their minimums. And must have been some long flights and drives to some of those you listed.

What industry are you in that chose to have conferences at those specific venues?

You must have never worked in sales or loans.

Yeah I don’t know what some people are talking about. I’ve been to Cancun, Marco island, Cabo, key west, and we fished, sailed, jet skied, swam in the pool, hung out on the beach, and yes the women wore bikinis and the guys were shirtless. People were drunk.

My buddy won presidents club and a company sailing trip to Hawaii. He pressured his 40 year old wife to drop a few pounds so he could show her off to his coworkers…the hot wife lifestyle i guess.

But I agree, this is all normal. Just go in the trip and have fun.

Why are you fighting this?

Plenty of conferences at resorts. Wait till you hear about the meetings literally at the bottom of ski lifts.

You don’t get out much.

Those are somewhat common, esp if you are paying full price to one of the 100s of peer networking conferences. Not the CEO Leadership conference at Deer Valley.

But snorkel and jet skiing at some mystery conference place is not common.

Anyhow, op herself can return and square it up.
