water sports with boss?

My boss and I are heading to a conference and arriving a day early. I arranged to spend the afternoon snorkeling and jet skiing and casually asked boss if he's interested in joining. He enthusiastically said yes. I mentioned this to my DH and he is adamant this is very inappropriate. I have zero attraction to my boss and he's never been inappropriate. Should I find a way to cancel? I really don't want to but I can see why this may seem inappropriate from the outside. Boss is 5 years older than me fwiw.

Don't share a ski. Snorkeling might be with a group anyway. If not,it's unsafe to snorkel alone.

I don't see why this is more inappropriate than having dinner and drinks with the boss. I'd do it, but like others said, obviously don't share a jet ski.

I wouldn't want to be in swimming attire with or see my co-workers or boss in swimming attire. I wouldn't go so far as to say inappropriate but I wouldn't do it.

people have wildly different relationships with their bosses. I have had some bosses I would have done this with but would never do this with current boss. only you can know if you have a snorkel boss or a connect on kpis boss. obv a snorkel boss is better.

Maybe wear board shorts and a tee/tank rash guard or a tankini top with more coverage.
