What are the odds all three of my children are “queer”

Humans are also being more exposed to hormones in water and food. They are finding intersex fish, in polluted rivers, with both male and female organs, due to estrogen mimicking compounds. Humans are exposed, maybe at lower doses, but there are a lot of hormone mimicking compounds out there.

I think genetic. I grew up with a Catholic family with five kids and as adults four are gay.

It’s probably not this as OP says her family is very religious.

Do you always stop reading after the first couple of sentences?

“I decided that in the end, loving my children wholly was most important and did a lot of self work. I still am spiritual, but my mindset has grown and I have a much better relationship with my kids for it.”

Doesn’t suggest OP is “supportive”…says she worked through her issues to still love them….waaaay different than supporting their choice and not judging. I’m sure the kids know OP is a Jesus freak and the implications of that despite OP finding it in herself to still love them.

Typical DCUM response. OP sounds like a caring parent who worked (and is likely working) through some pretty huge family of origin stuff and DCUM is like: "YOU don't fool us!! You suck and will always suck!!"

Or an element of abuse, early exposure- does happen.

I also think the microplastics and endocrine disrupters in our water and food supply are at work….like how the fish in the Potomac are now two-gendered

Kinsey says everyone is queer.

My daughter’s friend had boy girl twins in her grade. Both had switched genders!!!!
(And this was at a conservative boarding school)

Let's check the historical ticker tape:

1 boy, 1 girl
1 boy, 1 girl
1 boy, 1 girl
1 boy, 1 girl
2 boy, 0 girl (data glitch)
1 boy, 1 girl
1 boy, 1 girl
1 boy, 1 girl

Boys are so gross these days; what else would you expect?

I’m so surprised I read through the whole thread and this was the only response to mention this. We are feeding our kids hormones, chemicals, and plastics that interfere with their normal development and weird sh$$ is happening on a pretty large scale.

Humans are too mentally complex and creative to be 100% straight. Every preacher who says that gay is caused by social contagion and curable by conversation therapy is implicitly saying that straight is too. Every preacher who says that you can pray the gay away, or keep it bottled up, is admitting that being gay is natural.
Everyone who says that dolls are or for girls is implicitly saying that a boy who likes dolls is transgender.

I’m straight, and my brother is gay. He has told me if he could choose to be straight, he would, because it would have made his life a lot easier in many ways. But he…can’t choose that, or be “influenced” into it.

If you think of what you are and are not into, think about the thing with a same-sex partner you most could not imagine doing. Could you really be “influenced” into not only trying that, but changing your whole lifestyle and doing that regularly? If you are a 1 or 2 on the Kinsey Scale, I don’t think you can be “influenced” into being an 8 or a 10.

Good for you 👍🏻

My best friend growing up is a lesbian and both of her siblings are as well. It was obvious since we were very little. Definitely believe there is a genetic component.

Probably genetic. I’m from a family of total tolerance but zero queer members, no one would care if they were but no ! My daughters are super straight even though I kinda hoped they would like women bc…well, men…ha.

Honestly I find that trans/gender issues tend to follow along with autistic traits.
