Trump says he's agreed to Fox debate while Harris sticks with ABC plan

Anonymous
Donnie is going to continue to slide in the polls throughout August. By September he’s going to be begging to go on ABC because he needs the attention.

September 10th was already negotiated.

There is no "both sides" here.

It was negotiated between the Biden and Trump campaigns, not the Harris campaign.

She needs to do her own work here and not just slide in on Joe’s coat tails.

How about the September 10 debate on ABC that both campaigns already agreed to?

Good try but Trump campaign did not agree with the Harris campaign for that debate.

Trump agreed to the debate with Biden on September 10. Biden pulled out. Trump never agreed to debate Harris in September 10. Unless you show the link to the agreement, you are a lier.

I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled.

Harris truly believes that September 10 debate was scheduled between her and Trump, and her own campaign continues to keep her delusional. What can be unburdened by what has been burdened by previous schedule?

Trump seems to be doing the work for her by making himself look too frightened to debate her.

Like try for a second to think about how a normal, non Trump-fan would perceive this. They had a debate scheduled, Biden dropped out of the race, and Trump wants to rearrange the format to one that is friendlier to him. Why? What could be wrong with the earlier format other than he feels he can’t win without some advantage?

So don't show up. He is correct that the debate will go badly for him. Not showing up probably helps him lose the election by less votes then if he does show up and gets flattened.

He’s chicken and needs his supports around him to feel safe.
And you call democrats snowflakes!
She will do her own work at the debate. Do you really think Biden and trump talked directly to negotiate the terms? Their teams did that, so no renegotiation is necessary.

If trump was not weird and power seeking he would have said ‘we need to revisit the terms of the debate’ and kept the time and location the same. Instead he is trying to baby out of it.

The Art of HIS Deal is not upholding contracts. It is why he is a felon- low integrity

What does he want to change about the terms that he could handle with Biden and can not manage against Harris?

He wants to talk over her (mics always on) and he wants to physically stalk her like he did Hillary.

He wants to use his waning physical strength as a man against a woman- duh

I think many people recognize it for the strategic move it is. He agreed to the debate with Biden knowing all Biden’s challenges and foibles.

Now he is running against a different candidate and acting accordingly.

It’s all gamesmanship and is actually very sad for our country. I stand by my statement the two campaigns need to renogotiate behind closed doors.

Do he not going to show because of the microphone terms? Give us a break. Talk when you mic is on and then shut up. It's not that hard to do

First of all, it's spelled with an A. L-I-A-R.
Second, nothing I said is a lie. Both campaigns agreed to the debate. Tell me this: Is Trump's goal to run for president, or only to defeat Joe Biden? If you're truly running for president you show up no matter who your opponent is.

Because he can't debate without being able to interrupt his opponent? That is ridiculous.

But that wasn’t your statement. You said Harris needs to “do her own work.”

Trump could have easily renegotiated this. Instead he made a public statement demanding xyz. And the Harris campaign said, flatly, no. So how is she “not doing her own work?”

He looks like a scared old man. A weird scared old man in a panic.
