Can I wear wedge sandals and look professional?

What about a peep toe wedge? That’s what I wear in the summer when a full shoe seems too heavy and the sandal you showed was a little too casual. Like this:

I wouldn’t normally wave the “not in style” flag, but peep toes haven’t been in style for 10+ years, and are currently touted as an example of something that used to be in style but is definitely not currently in style. Don’t wear peep toes.
