The ankle strap looks like hooker shoes.

I WFH now but absolutely wore shoes like that to the office for years before the pandemic.

Wearing something similar to present at a conference next week. I wouldn’t wear them with a suit, but I’m not wearing a suit.

Likely would not do it to a formal client meeting (suit & pumps), but a less formal one or meeting in office. Absolutely.

+1. Another lawyer.

Context is everything.

Depends on the firm as well. I know that some of the big law firms are strict with dress codes.

Shocked at these answers. No one would bat an eye at these shoes in any office I've been in for the past 10 years. If your other clothes are professional, these shoes are fine.

What.

Some DCUM posters have deep-rooted issues. If this thread is not evidence of that, I don't know what is.

These shoes are in no way sexy unless you have a weird toe fetish or hate-on. They aren't even a true ankle-strap. They're fine.

Absolutely not. Feet just shouldn't be exposed. Gross.

I was imagining something very different! I think that if you have a good fresh pedi those work in general. I steer away b/c I don't like to rely on needing a pedi.

Hm. My toes are neat but unpainted.

Must have pedi in that kind of sandal. Birks, no. Those, yes.
