a thousand cuts...

took a day off to do more adulting. mailed off cancelation of voters registration for both parents w/copies of the death certs just in case. You'd think they could just link to the social security database to know who is dead, but nooo...

canceled the forwarded phone line, only had one useful phone call for dad in the last year. the transcription of voicemail to email was handy, thanks vonage, but I don't need to pay you $30/month anymore.

Made forward progress on taxes and getting my own finances under control.

Did two more loads of laundry of clothes to donate.

oh. i need to call social security, they accidentally made an extra payment but apparently can't claw it back even though they've done that before no issue.

do i have enough spoons to talk to social security? i guess we will see.

Hang in there, it's a slog and takes so much longer than you'd think. The poster who advised doing one thing per day is wise.

That’s brilliant. I have set up the remaining parent’s bills to be charged to credit card so the fact they will all bounced why credit card is canceled will make a hard time much easier.

I’m sorry, OP. Dealing with all of that is so hard.
