They (nominally) seek community input for principal positions, not APs. |
| Ms. Pfeiffer taught my friend's DD when she was in elementary school. My friend says she was an excellent teacher and the kids loved and respected her. |
SCMS is Title 1? |
No, it is not. |
Is AP from a military family? Will she get along with at least two of the Counselors at this school? |
Will there be new counselors in 6th grade this year?? |
There must be some in this class. |
This exactly. |
| Did they start a petition? |
I haven't seen one, but that is a great idea. |
what is that supposed to mean? |
It's a job interview, not a community meeting. |
| We had such a good experience at SCMS. My youngest is now at BCC so I have no dog in this fight, but based on what I saw from Dr. A and the departing AP, I'd trust their judgment. |
| SCMS parent here. Older child now in HS. Started at SCMS when Dr. Awkard was interim. Dr. Awkard is a great principal. I appreciate her transparency and have full confidence in her judgement. I also believe that people can reflect and learn and grow from past experiences. By every indication, this AP has been well-liked and respected aside from this horrifying incident. I plan to attend one of the community meetings. I’m going in with an open mind. |
As great as a principal may be, decision and judgement may not be hers to make. You might find out more if you attend the upcoming meetings. |
