Thank you all for answers. How does Baltimore Armour compare?

I’ve only heard good things about Armour but I can’t verify since they were too far for us to consider and we’ve only played their teams at the pre-U13 ages. I don’t remember much abt their teams - that is, what their style is or how good their individual players are.

We'll be moving to the area and I need to know the approximate ranking but it's not obvious to me from the discussions I've seen. I am asking about the top, academy level for U13/U14 boys. Thank you all!

Alexandria
Bethesda
SYC

Those are the strongest DMV-area clubs for boys at the U13 level (and up). Same for U14, but add DC United (which doesn't start until U14).

Find MLSNext team. ECNL is your father’s Oldsmobile.

I mean, how could you even be considering Baltimore Armour along with two northern Virgina teams (SYC, Alexandria) and a DC-metro Maryland team (Bethesda)? You're going quite far afield now ...

Baltimore Armour is a solid club, from what I can recall from my son's teams playing against them over the years. I don't know if they're in MLS Next or not -- if so, they're probably roughly equivalent; if not, they're probably a good ECNL team like Arlington.

He's not. Its a fake post. He just wanted to hear confirmation that other people think his kids team is the best.

If soccer is a critical factor in choosing where to live, instead of Baltimore/Bethesda/McLean, I would look at Madrid/Buenos Aires/Amsterdam.
Good luck!

Also, if you choose to move to Madrid/Buenos Aires/Amsterdam, tell your kid to get ready to re-learn the game. Everything that it learned over here will be of little use over there.
