Best soccer club for boys U13-14?

Not trying to start a war, just reading this content here and have a hard time figuring out. We'll be moving to the area and I need to know the approximate ranking but it's not obvious to me from the discussions I've seen. I am asking about the top, academy level for U13/U14 boys. Thank you all!

Where are you moving to? Maryland, Virginia, Fairfax county, Loudoun County, etc.

So you are asking for a ranking of all the top U13-U14 boys teams in the area? 1st, you will get 100 different opinions. Plus, do you only care about wins and losses? if not, what is important to you? Are you asking for U13s? u14s? or both? or current U13s and who will be U14s in the Fall. You also have to understand that coaches change. Rosters change. Abilities change. So the results from last year won't necessarily reflect what the results will be next year. And by moving to the area...it's a big area. If you are moving to Manassas, you don't want to be driving to Bethesda or Columbia, MD...or vice versa. Are looking mostly MLS Next or is ECNL teams OK? Lots to unpack here.

I’m asking about the entire area DC/MD/VA because we haven’t decided on the precise location yet (and soccer will factor into that). I don’t believe in a strict distinction between results and development, in my experience they are strongly related by that age. I suppose MLSNext is a stronger league so that is what I am looking for.

I would go with AC Milan in Falls Church

Alexandria will have strong MLS Next teams at U13 and U14 next season. This year's U13s finished third in one of the toughest MLS Next divisions, only behind Philly Union and RBNY.
They will both be coached by Alexandria's most successful coach.

Why don’t you try out at all MLSNext clubs first in the area and then do a pro and con? Seems premature to narrow it down without knowing whether u would be offered a spot at any of them.

If ur that confident abt ur kids abilities, u shd have ur club/coach reach out to DCU academy first or if ur also coming from an MLS academy.

Yes, serious answer is the MLS Next clubs for boys. Bethesda Soccer Club in Maryland and Alexandria Soccer Association in Virginia are probably the best for boys once you get to the U13/U14 level.

After that, you have Arlington ECNL and SYC MLSN teams to check out as well.

I would avoid the smaller clubs, like McLean, Great Falls or Vienna. They are good for some, but not top clubs for boys in the area.

Obviously we are not including DC United Academy, which is the best in the area but not realistic for most.
