Book-turned-movie I can read with DD13?

My non sci fi fantasy loving 13 yr old DD loved
Twilight, divergent and summer I turned pretty. I enjoyed all as well.

My mom did this with Emma and Sense and Sensibility when I was 13/14 and the 5 hour Pride and Prejudice miniseries.


Yes, the BBC miniseries for Pride and Prejudice and Emma are fantastic and perfect for that age. My DD and I found tons of things to talk about: societal norms and class distinctions at that time, gender roles and expectations, and how Jane Austen was such an amazing observer of character and psychology. I really enjoyed this time with my DD.
