yep, but saw Ksac coaches doing stroke and turn all over the places, also saw many club swimmers (Ncap, asa, toll etc) taking private lessons at rockville

The private lesson isn't a thing on other teams. IMO it's questionable that they do that. Often times it appears like a pay to play game at RMSC.

That’s the nature of any sport or activity. Some parents pay for private music lessons, others pay for their athlete to see a trainer. I doubt many RMSC swimmers get private lessons but I am not opposed to it.

Many RMSC swimmers get private lessons just not from RMSC coaches.
It’s highly discouraged but makes no sense when RMSC is not very individualized at any level.

Why are lessons highly discouraged? My kids’ swim club offers lessons and has never said anything to encourage or discourage private lessons within and from outside the club. I have two club swimmers who have been taking private lessons on and off with an outside coach. They learn different things from this coach than they do from their club coaches, and it works well for them.
